NAIL ART
Acrylic Nails-
Acrylic nails are also known as
"liquid and powder nails". These are created using liquid monomer and
polymer powder. They have been around for a long time, whereas gel nails are
recent addition to the nail art. Pink and white acrylics are more common types.
Acrylic nail extension can be created using nail forms(molds).
Gel Nails-
Gel Nails-
These extensions are made using a
hard gel product. They are hardened by curing under an UV or LED light.
However, many services involving the use of gel products are also called gel
nails.
There are two types of gel, hard
gel and soft gel. Hard type, once cured, is strong enough to be used for nail
extension. Artificial tips made using a nail product to extend the nails beyond
the natural nails, are known as extensions. extensions are never made using the
soft gel. Gel polishes and thicker gels are used for gel overlay services. Gel
polishes are used for gel polish manicure. This type of manicure, when done
professionally, is gentle to the nails, and the polish of nails stays intact
for a long time without any significant chipping.
Gel is used to create extensions.
Gel usually comes in pots of gel or bottles of gel polish. All gel services are
performed using a gel. Gels are available in many colors and all the forms need
curing under U.V. or LED light. Curing is the process in which photo-initiators
within the gel are exposed to the U.V. or L.E.D. light, process of
polymerization makes the gel hard.
Fiberglass And Silk Wraps-
Fiberglass and silk wraps are used
in overlay services. The product is laid on top of the natural nails. These
products are not strong enough to be used in extensions, so they are only laid
over existing nails to enhance their look and shine. This service is often used
to repair broken nails.
These treatments enhance the
beauty of nails. You can get DIY kits from the market, if you want
to create your own acrylic nails.
